General Conference ABC Printable & My Conference Journal

It’s almost April General Conference and I am starting to get my kids ready and excited! This year I created my own printables for my kids and myself and can’t wait to get them printed. I wanted to share a free copy with you and hope you enjoy them!

A few other General Conference  ideas:

Each year we get out our tents and watch general conference inside with our treat boxes. This year we are literally getting out our big tent and watching it outside in the tent. Do something different to make conference an exciting event to look forward to. Do something out of the ordinary and make it a day to remember.  It doesn’t have to be expensive or crazy (we are literally pulling our tent out of the shed and setting it up in our back yard). Make the most of a day with your family!

Also… and this is a big one! Have your kids help you plan breakfast for conference morning. At our house, it’s cinnamon rolls… and has been since I was a little girl. Hopefully my kiddos continue the tradition with their own kids one day. If you are looking for a yummy cinnamon roll recipe, here is our favorite!

Cinnamon Rolls (Lion House Recipe… of course!)

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups water warm
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
1 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp salt
7 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter melted
Place water, oil, eggs, vanilla, and dry milk powder in the large bowl of an electric stand mixer and stir vigorously until milk is dissolved. Sprinkle yeast over liquid mixture then add the 1 cup sugar, salt, and flour.
Put dough hook on mixer and mix for 10-15 minutes at low speed. The dough will be very sticky. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours. Turn dough onto floured surface and roll out into a rectangle shape. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up rectangle lengthwise and cut into one-inch slices. Grease a cookie sheet or line with parchment paper. Place rolls on cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise until doubled in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes. After baking, let cool slightly before frosting. Frost with Powdered Sugar Icing or Buttercream Frosting.
